Here are some of my favorite Disney pages by Nancy! I love this overview page we discuss in the show....
Here's an earlier version she did. I'm definitely doing something like this in my next Disney album...
(pardon the small image, the original is no longer online)
I love this "Top 5 Favorites" page....this is a must have for a Disney album!
I love how Nancy focuses on memories and moments like in this page...
and this one...
I love that she's on the ride with her son in this picture and this page is so fun!
Here's a sweet one from when her son was younger. This page is a great example of how you do not have to use Disney embellishments because the pictures are so overtly Disney themed! I love a great Disney sticker as much as the next girl but it is fun to see how well this works too!
I have to share this with you before we move on. My favorite thing I've seen Nancy do on a Disney page is use enamel dots to make a Mickey head! Lookie!
Love, love, love that and here's the rest of that awesome page...
Now on to some of her awesome videos!!
Here's a great one about using Disney memorabilia....

Here's one about scrapbooking Disney milestones...
I loved hearing about Nancy's albums and it's gotten me to thinking about mine! Here are some products I'm planning to use in my next Disney album! It's the Say Cheese Collection by Simple Stories. Click the link under each picture to order & help support Magic Memory Keepers...

I hope you enjoyed this week's show! See you real soon! Have a magical day!
I absolutely love hearing how similar we are in that we don't do theme but we both do the "feel" of Disney and that we scrap the moments we feel like scrapping. I never considered using Disney pins on a layout!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to ask Nancy to answer any questions give here, so I'll have her answer about the bulk factor of those pins you asked about on FB! :)
Deletemy fave nancy inspiration was choosing the 5 fave stories & 5 fave photos to document. my fave inspiration from you was the zip pocket for memorabilia. great show! i've admired nancy's work on two peas & her blog, but never heard her voice. i didn't know she even had videos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Teddi!!!!! I appreciate your support and comments!
ReplyDeleteAwesome podcast. I've admired Nancy's work for a long time and it's great to hear about her processes and progression of how she documents her trips now. After many trips I find my albums are quite different now too. Much more memory based since I have documented It's a Small World enough times. LOL Love your thoughts on memorabilia. I accumulate quite a bit and while I incorporate quite a bit into my pages I still have envelopes full from each trip.
ReplyDeleteSo excited to have heard about this podcast! I listened to you and Nancy this morning while I took my walk! I loved hearing about how she dealt with the photos...narrowed down 35 from the hundreds she took. This made me feel a lot better!
ReplyDeleteI took my very first EVER Disneyland trip in 2006 (I was 26) and just got around to scrapbooking it this past December! For 8 years, all my memorabilia and photos sat in a box but then I was inspired by the Snap pocket pages cards and decided to try it. I had all my photos, mementos and memories recorded and in an album in a week - so happy to have that done! And, it gives me a general plan for when we go again next summer when we take our son for the first time! I know I'm going to have so many photos, so hearing how she deals with those is very helpful!
Anyway, thank you so much for this great show! Can't wait to listen to more!
Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteLet me start off by saying, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this podcast! I have been to Disney World several times & enjoyed it, but didn't think I would want to listen to a podcast about all things Disney. I was wrong! Listening to this podcast has made me want to take out my photos from past trips (Disney & other trips) & get them documented. I loved Nancy's tip about pulling out her five best photos & five best stories and starting there...it makes the process not seem quite as daunting. Thanks for the awesome podcast & I can't wait to listen to more!
ReplyDeleteAnother fan here! Combining Disney & scrapbooking is a dream come true. I will be going to Disneyland next month for the third time, and to have inspiration at my my finger tips is great. We are not taking the kids this time, we feel they are a bit young yet but I am looking forward to taking them on their first trip. There will be plenty of Disney trips in our future. My favourite piece of inspiration was to highlight the food on the trip. There are all sorts of themed snacks at the parks, and I find that super fun. I also would like to document why Disney is so special to me. Keeping the pieces of paper from our upcoming trip is another inspiration point as I am sure Disneyland will WDW's lead in going paperless.
ReplyDeleteLove this podcast. I have been to Disney twice and haven't scrapped either tri[ yet. Listening to this podcast has inspired me to get out my Disney supplies and start planning the scrapbook. I love the idea of overview pages for each section. Thanks for doing this podcast and for having 2 great guests!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing Nancy Diamanos Disney layouts and videos on Two Peas her work is so inspiring. I loved hearing her thoughts on Disney Scrapbooking and not worrying about doing them chronologically.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great Podcast! I realized after I listened and went through my scrapbooks that I have been to Disney 10 times in the last 15 years and I have only scrapped 8 pages and 2 mini albums! I need to get cracking! So much inspiration here and I am very excited to tell more of our Disney stories. PS…It also made me really want to go back:)
ReplyDeletehis was a great podcast! Nancy is one of my favorite scrapbookers. I find her layouts speak to my style of scrapbooking and I always get a ton of inspiration from her. What I found most inspiring from this podcast was that she doesn't put pressure on herself to get it all scrapped right away because then it would feel like something she had to do rather than something she wants to do. So I love her idea of getting all the journaling and thoughts down in the moment so that she can go back to her journals later (even a year or more) and the journaling is basically done and the memory captured. That takes a lot of the pressure off that you have to get those pages scrapped right away or you'll forget.
ReplyDeleteAs I said, Nancy is an inspiration to me and I'm excited to hear that she's offering a class at Big Picture. Thanks for the opportunity to win a 3 month subscription.
Again, great podcast and I'm looking forward to more. I live 20 min. from Disneyland and I have a pass...so I take a ton of pictures and just this one podcast has inspired me to pull out those pictures!!
Your podcast has come at the perfect time in my life! We've been do Disney World 4 times since having children (my kids are 12, 11 and 9) and I went numerous times growing up. I guess you could say we are a Disney Family. :) Unfortunately, many of these trips have not made it into a scrapbook. Most recently we went last August to Disney World as a big family reunion and had an unforgettable week. I'm working on this scrapbook right now! I admire others who are able to work on their Disney scrapbooks in the midst of working on regular scrapbook pages. I wish I could be like that! I'm not saying I won't take on any other scrapbook pages during this process, but my focus will really be on the Disney album. I'm doing 12X12 pages -- a mix of regular and pocket pages.
ReplyDeleteIn this weeks podcast, I loved your idea of focusing on your 5 favorite pictures and your 5 favorite stories. I had never considered this idea. I always thought I had to scrapbook the whole entire trip, and this is probably why so many trips have not made it to a scrapbook. I also loved the idea of focusing on Disney food. I have so many pictures of Mickey shaped waffles and pretzels, Frozen themed cupcakes etc. I have decided to add an extra page or two to this new scrapbook just to focus on food. Thank you for the inspiration!
P.S. I'm using Simple Stories Say Cheese 1 and 2 for my scrapbook. Love them!
ReplyDeleteMy family and I have been to the parks over ten times. It's been challenging to not repeat the same pages from trip to trip. I really liked what Nancy shared about scrapping special moments or little details, to take photos with intention. I'll think about that in May when we're on our first Disney cruise, then the parks. I'll document everything on the cruise, but I think I'll take less pictures in the parks this time.
ReplyDeleteHi from Australia! I am so glad that you have married two of my passions - scrapbooking and Disney - in your new podcast. Thank you. My favourite inspiration from this episode was to have a Disney To-Do List - top 5 photos and top 5 stories - something I think I'll take up. PS. I have lots of Disney memories to scrapbook as I've been to every Disney around the world, except for Paris, so far.
ReplyDeleteSandy
Tracie and Nancy, loved this episode! Tracie, I am so glad that you decided to do Magic Memory Keepers podcast. I need someone to light a fire under my behind and this is just the thing to do it! We have gone to 3 different parks as a family and I have scrapbooked all of 1 page and a mini book...I know, sad huh? I grew up going to Disneyland, CA and went 1 more time when the girls were very young, then we spent a week at Disney World, FL when they were a little older and just last year went to Tokyo Disneyland & Sea! So many memories and stories to be told! My favorite bit of info shared by Nancy (I have two) is to do a top 5 favorites page. Along with that is if you can only get some favorite pics scrapped at first and never get back to that trip, that's ok! I also take to heart McKenzee's tip of "you don't have to use Disney themed products" on your pages, that's a great tip (although too late for me as I probably have enough Disney themed product to fill 5 Disney albums! Lol). But anyway, I am so very excited to get started (and finished) on these trips before planning another. Thank you so much for the great podcasts and inspiration, I'm getting my pics out right now! Corrie
ReplyDeleteOh my word, Tracie. I am starting at the beginning of your Disney podcasts today. (Finally) and you just said something about adding an envelope/pocket from target to the end of your album for memorabilia. This is genius! I have memorabilia from most vacations and I don't end up using it all in the pages. Did you ever do this? If so, can you post a picture (or is there already a picture on here that I'm missing?). Thanks!!!
ReplyDeletelove the PDF from the two peas class!! thanks so much for sharing!
